Nelson is considered one of the most knowledgeable attorneys in the nation regarding jurisdictional issues, national or international.  He is currently the Amercian Bar Association Section Advisor to the Uniform Laws Commission Drafting Committee to implement the ‘Hague Convention on Protection of Children,’ which is revising the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act.  Ron has handled numerous cases involving multi-state conflicts, concerning military personnel who frequently move or deport abroad, including courts who have trouble identifying proper jurisdiction, and instructing the legal community on deciding which state’s laws govern the case.
